The Detroit Red Wings will be at a significant disadvantage on Wednesday, as they're missing a star player in the lineup.
Many believe that the Red Wings will be at a disadvantage tomorrow against the Florida Panthers on home ice at Little Caesars Arena.
Not only will they be taking on the reigning Stanley Cup champions, but the forward core will also have to rely on players like
Mason Appleton and
James Van Riemsdyk again to hold off the cats who intend to clip the wings tomorrow.
The Detroit Red Wings Are Missing Lucas Raymond On The Ice
In the first three games of the season, Raymond has provided an offensive spark on the ice for the Red Wings. He's scored 3 points (2-1) in the last three games, and it will be sorely missed tomorrow.
The
team lost Raymond on the 13th when defenseman
Chris Tanev hit Raymond in what looked to be textbook boarding.
There's been no updateon his status at the moment from the Red Wings, but it has fans concerned.
Last season with the Red Wings, he scored a total of 80 points (27-53) in 82 games with the team.
He has 323 games of NHL experience under his belt, and for a rebuilding team, they need veteran players who can offer wisdom to other players.
Raymond could've been one of those players, along with
Dylan Larkin.
