Kasper making great impression in AHL playoff after incredible game

Red Wings AHL affiliates, the Griffins, took on the took on the Admirals in the divisional finals yesterday, winning game 1, 4-2.

Wings prospect Marco Kasper led his team to the Game 1 victory with an impressive performance as he finished the night with one goal and two assists.

The 20-year-old former first-round pick had a goal and two assists Wednesday to lead the Grand Rapids Griffins past the Milwaukee Admirals, 4-2, in the first game of their Central Division Finals series in the American Hockey League's Calder Cup playoffs. - St-James

Kasper had a very solid first season in the AHL as a 20-year-old finishing the season with 35 points in 71 games.

Hopefully the young prospect continues to improve and will have a chance at making the NHL roster next season.
