The Red Wings have a new (and former) goalie after acquiring Petr Mrazek, but who will be getting the start in Monday's important divisional game vs. Ottawa?

The Red Wings re-acquired goaltender Petr Mrazek, who played for the team from 2013 to 2018, in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday that still has more than a few fans feeling confused.
Just like last year, the Red Wings now have 3 NHL-caliber players on their roster in Mrazek along with Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon.
Mrazek has been given sweater No. 43, the inverse of his usual No. 34 which is currently worn by Lyon:
Following today's practice at Little Caesars Arena that included Mrazek along with fellow acquisition Craig Smith, head coach Todd McLellan explained that he had a conversation with Mrazek that was direct and to the point.
The important one that needed to be laid out a lot more was 3 goaltenders; only two dress for a game, and there are only two nets. But I thought that conversation was real direct and it was short and to the point. We have a high belief system in all three, obviously we haven't seen Mrazek play yet for our team, but we wouldn't have him here if we didn't believe in him.

We've got to get a little more production out of that position as we do D (defense), forwards and the coaching staff; we're all in it together. But that conversation was pretty direct.

When asked which goaltender would be getting the start for tomorrow's extremely important clash against the divisional foe Ottawa Senators, McLellan is choosing to keep it a mystery.
Who's starting tomorrow? I'll tell you tomorrow.

With a poor Blackhawks team this year, Mrazek went 10-19-2 with a 3.46 GAA and a .890 SV%, not exactly numbers that encourage Red Wings fans as they enter the critical stretch of the year that will determine their playoff fate.
It won't be surprising to see someone other than Cam Talbot get the start tomorrow; Talbot had a dreadful 3rd period in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Capitals, allowing 4 3rd period goals.
