Major advantage for the Detroit Red Wings announced for Orignal 6 clash vs. Maple Leafs
For the 2nd time this month, the Red Wings and Maple Leafs are set to battle at Little Caesars Arena, but the Red Wings will have one key advantage.
The Detroit Red Wings host the Toronto Maple Leafs for the 2nd time this month; they made their first matchup a successful one thanks to a pair of goals from unlikely scoring defenseman Jeff Petry and a strong performance from goaltender Ville Husso.
The Maple Leafs, unlike their last game in Detroit, will not have arguably their top player, who also happened to score a 2nd period goal against Husso as part of the 4-2 Red Wings win.
Captain Auston Matthews, who has already missed considerable time this year due to injury and even sought treatment in Germany, will not suit up against the Red Wings (7:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).
