Major League Hockey is a new 3-on-3 league that promises to combine former professional players with amateurs of all skill levels.

This new league is supposedly going to have former NHLers behind the benches, and there are even going to be tryouts for the average Joe. Lastly, there is even a $30 million salary cap per team, which is pretty ambitious when you think about it.

Having said that, the league is currently being accused of running a scam. According to Andrew Barber, the league is telling players that they must pay to tryout. If they make the team, they will get refunded at 50 percent. If they don't make the team, they are out of money.

"This is laughably insane & unprofessional

Running paid tryout camps in a league with a supposed 30 Million salary campand you get refunded 50% if you make the teambut you get free snacks!
.
I can't believe this is still alive!"

Overall, this does seem like a bizarre business strategy. However, there is no telling what is going to come out of this. For now, it all just seems to be pretty unbelievable.
