American national anthem once again booed before Red Wings game
Pockets of frustrated Canadian hockey fans are voicing their displeasure with recent political decisions by booing during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner.
In a phenomenon that's starting to gain traction in professional sports venues across Canada, the singing of "The Star Spangled Banner" was once again met with noticeable booing from pockets of fans in attendance at Rogers Arena before the Detroit Red Wings faced the Vancouver Canucks
Just as noticeable before last night's Red Wings win over the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome, booing was heard during the performance of the American anthem before tonight's game in Vancouver:
The anthem was booed noticeably at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa before the Ottawa Senators hosted the Minnesota Wild on Saturday:
