Bad news strikes Alex Lyon at IIHF World tournament
Team USA took on Germany yesterday and goaltender Alex Lyon was in nets for the Americans but only faced 14 shots before being taking out.
Lyon suffered an injury in the second period and there has been no confirmation but it seems to be a cut to his hand.
As for his partner, some speculate that Lyon's injury was a cut on his hand that came from an opponent stepping on him during a scramble at the net. - Earegood
Hopefully Lyon's injury is not too severe and the Wings goalie will be able to return to the tournament for next game.
