Detroit Red Wings goalie Cam Talbot made 33 saves as part of Detroit's 5th straight win, and he spoke highly of how his teammates have been putting together wins after their 3-1 win over the Calgary Flames.

Make it 5 consecutive victories for the Detroit Red Wings, who defeated the Calgary Flames 3-1 last night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

It also marks one of the final times that the Red Wings will visit the historic venue, as the Flames are getting a new arena built in time for 2027-28.

Dylan Larkin and Simon Edvinsson scored in the first period for the Red Wings, who also got an empty net goal late in the third period from Andrew Copp to seal the win; goaltender Cam Talbot, a former Flame, made 33 saves.

Talbot knows the Red Wings have been "gutting it out" lately, and he helped make the win possible.

We've been gutting out a lot of wins lately and it's nice to see we can win in a lot of different ways. They came out hard and we knew they were going to. It's a tough building to play in and they made a trade (Friday), so you knew they would come out flying and give our guys credit, we weathered the storm at the beginning and got a couple of goals and locked it down.

Talbot is playing in his 1st year with the Red Wings after being inked as a free agent from the Los Angeles Kings, another one of head coach Todd McLellan's former teams that he's overseen.

The Red Wings still have a pair of games left on their schedule, as they play the Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Kraken before returning home.
