The Detroit Red Wings once again were thoroughly outworked and outshot, and Dylan Larkin's facial expression afterward said it all about the state of the team.

After once again getting completely outworked, out hustled, outmuscled, outshot and outplayed, the Detroit Red Wings added another setback into the win-loss column.

Flyers forward Scott Laughton carved up the Red Wings despite an otherwise gem of a performance from goaltender Cam Talbot, making his 1st appearance since his lower-body injury on December 1.

Laughton scored all four Flyers goals as part of a 4-1 victory; his first goal came at the end of a crazy sequence in the 2nd period that included multiple odd-man rushes and breakaways for Philadelphia.

At one point in the contest, the Red Wings trailed 28-11 in the shot total.

Captain Dylan Larkin's dejected facial expression said it all of how he's feeling, and he also admitted his frustration over the lack of answers on why he and his teammates can't string together consistent performances.

We're the team that made multiple mistakes, giving up breakaways and odd mans, a lot of their looks and chances came off our sticks. It's frustrating.

We know they'd try and get behind us, their forward group likes to cheat for breakaways, but they didn't have to, we gave it to them.

I mean, I think games like this are frustrating. It was a winnable game, and there was not much energy in the building the first couple periods, but we allowed fans to get into it with the chances we gave them.

I guess, I don't know, why we can't build momentum and play consistent hockey. We're looking for that, and it's real frustrating right now to not have an answer.
