Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin is set to return to the Red Wings lineup after playing for the Americans in the 4 Nations Faceoff the last 2 weeks.

The 4 Nations Faceoff has wrapped up, and it's time for the NHL regular season to resume regularly scheduled programming.
Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin, who played for the American team, is expected to be in tomorrow's lineup for Detroit as they host the Minnesota Wild at Little Caesars Arena (12:30 PM, ESPN, ABC, 97.1 The Ticket).
Head coach Todd McLellan said as much following today's practice while noting that Larkin remains in perfect game shape thanks to his participating in the 4 Nations Faceoff.
He'll be playing five games in seven days so we'll have to find some rest for him sometime.
Larkin had 2 points (1G, 1A) during the 4 Nations Faceoff.

Dylan Larkin is already looking ahead to the 2026 Olympic Games

Despite the disappointment of the 3-2 OT loss to Canada in last night's title game, Larkin is already looking forward to playing in the 2026 Winter Olympics.
We've had a tough time with USA Hockey getting guys to play in the World Championships. Guys who are at home watching this, I hope they're wanting a piece of it. They've got to go to the World Championships and prove themselves and play for their country. We've got to start winning that tournament.
He also said that he hopes that the rest of his American teammates who are disappointed with the loss last night are using it as motivation for the next time.
And I think that's where, you know, Canada, those guys go and they play. And that's where it starts. Pride for your country. Pride for the flag. Putting that crest on and going out for a game is just an unbelievable feeling. This grew the game really well, but I hope it pushes guys to want a piece of this.
