Does Jonatan Berggren have a chance at the NHL?
The Red Wings will have a lot of decisions to make this off-season as they are dealing with a lot of contract extensions as well as deciding the future of prospects such as Jonatan Berggren.
Berggren played most of the season in the AHL with the Griffins where he had a great year putting up 56 points in 53 games. The 23-year-old was also called up for 12 games with the Wings where he had 6 points.
The young prospect has proven that he can dominate in the AHL and the next step would be the NHL but Yzerman will have to find room for him in a crowded lineup.
Since Berggren is a scorer/playmaker, the Wings will need to find a spot for him on the top 2 lines where his style will be effective which means bumping down someone else.
