Former Detroit Red Wings draft selection suspended for threats toward a female referee

During a recent game, on-ice official Anna Hamar, who had already physically separated Axelsson and opponent Henrik Nilsson, was reportedly threatened by the former Detroit draft pick.
A former 2006 Draft pick of the Detroit Red Wings has been hit with a 3-game suspension after reportedly threatening a female on-ice official.
Dick Axelsson, who plays for Djurgårdens IF in the Swedish second-tier ice hockey league HockeyAllsvenskan, allegedly threatened a female on-ice official who had previously separated him from an opponent earlier in the game.
The official in question, Anna Hamar, wrote the following report for the disciplinary committee:
I'm going over to pick him up for the penalty box. Dick Axelsson doesn't immediately want to go, but is eventually persuaded by his coach Robert Kimby to go over. As he jumps over the side, I turn my back to him and go a bit ahead, whereupon he says: 'Put your hands on me again and you know what happens'. I turn around and ask, 'What did you say?' and he repeats, 'You know what happens if you put your hands on me again.'
His actions earned him a 3-game suspension, and he was also ordered to pay the equivalent of $700 US.
Dick Axelsson is a former Detroit Red Wings draft pick, but never played in the NHL
Axelsson was taken by the Red Wings with the 62nd overall pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, but he never played a single game with Detroit or any other NHL club.
Instead, he continued his career with Huddinge IK before moving to Djurgårdens IF. He's also played for HC Davos, Frölunda HC and Brödernas Hockey.
He also did play 17 games in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins before returning to Sweden.
