While he's only netted one goal in four games so far with Davos, his goal showed glimpses of his scoring touch. Zadina, 24, had his most productive NHL season last year, scoring 13 goals with the San Jose Sharks. Despite his efforts, Davos has secured just three points in four games in the Swiss National League.
Another former Detroit Red Wing, Austin Czarnik, plays for SC Bern in Switzerland. Czarnik, a Detroit native, has one assist in two games after a tough NHL season in which he only recorded one point in 34 games with Detroit.
Other former Detroit Red Wing are also making waves in Europe. Dominik Kubalik, who scored 20 goals for Detroit two seasons ago, has started well with Ambri Piotta, tallying one goal and two assists. Taro Hirose, playing for Munich EHC (Red Bull) in Germany, has registered three points in two games.
Former Red Wings goaltender John Lethemon is performing well, now playing for Lukko Rauma in Finland's Liiga. Despite a 1-3 record, he holds a strong 1.93 goals-against average, ranking fourth in the league, and has recorded one shutout.
Once part of Detroit's organization, these players are finding new opportunities across Europe, aiming to rejuvenate their careers.
