Great news announced regarding the Wings' broadcast team
The Athletic recently put out a poll to find the best broadcast duo in the NHL.
The Red Wings broadcasters, Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond, won the poll as the NHL's best duo.
"'They are obviously rooting for the Wings as a local broadcast, but I really appreciate that you can tell they are just fans of the game itself, too, and will not shy away from talking up opposing teams/players,' noted one Red Wings fan."
It seems like the biggest part that fans appreciate of them is that they can tell during the games that Daniels and Redmond are simply huge hockey fans just like everyone else.
