Marco Kasper is a young Austrian center known to be really good defensively and a very good playmaker.
At the beginning, we could see some skepticism about him. But his scouting reports and his track record show that he will be a good fit for the Detroit Red Wings. With a total of 14 goals and 35 points in his first year playing in North America with the Grand Rapids Griffins, Kasper appears to have the potential to make an impact with the Red Wings as early as next season.
The Red Wings are also focused on their off-season agenda. They plan to become a "cap" team if we look at what GM Steve Yzerman said earlier. This includes extending contracts for players like Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond who are the franchise players of the team, as well as making decisions on other potential signings and departures.
Yzerman typically prefers his prospects to be well-prepared for the NHL before they make the jump to the big league, but there are some exceptions to this rule.
