If David Perron doesn't re-sign, who next to wear the 'A'

Young and potentially the future face of the team, the question now is, is he ready?

The less obvious choice is the 23-year-old. He's set to sign a long-term contract with the team, and it would make sense to throw in the 'A' for the future as well. He's respected by his peers and isn't shy about doing what needs to be done instead of focusing on personal stats. He's a good all-around player. He had 42 points in 82 games last season, and his production has remained constant since his arrival at the Red Wings.
