Ex-Red Wing Jake Walman has been traded again

Former Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jake Walman, who they traded to the Sharks during the summer in exchange for nothing, is on his way to northern Canada.
Fans of the Detroit Red Wings were stunned when defenseman Jake Walman, a popular member of the team that was often paired with Moritz Seider on the top defensive pairing, was traded to the San Jose Sharks along with a draft pick in return for nothing.
And now, Walman is once again on the move. He's been acquired by the Edmonton Oilers in time for their second straight attempt at securing a berth in the Stanley Cup Final.
Per David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Oilers could be getting a 1st round draft pick in return.
Considering the Red Wings traded him for literally nothing, this would be a major return for the Sharks if the report of landing a 1st round draft pick turns out to be accurate.
However, it appears there are some obstacles still for the Oilers to overcome, per Frank Seravalli:

With 32 points (6G, 26A), Walman was the highest scoring defenseman on a poor San Jose team that is bound for another lottery pick.
He also would admit during the summer that not only was he stunned by being traded from the Red Wings, but that his heart was set in Detroit and he envisioned himself staying there a long time.
