Looks like Kane might be headed back home
The Red Wings brought in superstar Patrick Kane this season and although he did not play the entire season, Kane had a great year.
Since his contract was only for one year, Kane will be a free agent as of July 1st, meaning there is no guarantee he will be back in Detroit.
Apparently, his former team, Chicago, is very interested in having him come back to play with first overall pick Connor Bedard. Even at 35, Kane was able to put up an impressive 45 points in 50 games after coming back from major surgery.
It will be interesting to see how free agency plays out for Kane as Detroit and Chicago are far from the only teams interested in the skilled forward.
