Canucks did have a better year but the Wings have a brighter future
The Canucks surprised a lot of people this season as they finished 6th overall in the NHL while most people had them missing the playoffs.
While their season went a lot better than the Red Wings, it is hard not to see that the Canucks might struggle in the future despite having a few stars in their lineup.
The Red Wings did struggle more than Vancouver this season but with a ton of cap space and a few notable superstars in the making with Seider and Raymond, it is hard not to be excited for the future in Detroit.
While some fans would have loved to see them have a similar season to the Canucks this year, the future is bright in Detroit even if it is taking a little longer than expected.
