Not what the Red Wings needed right now - forward Andrew Copp has not come onto the ice for the 3rd period in today's game in Detroit against the Wild.
The Detroit Red Wings have returned to regular season play after the 4 Nations Faceoff, and are hosting the Minnesota Wild at Little Caesars Arena.
However, they're now down a forward as Andrew Copp has not returned to the bench following the first two periods of play.
The Red Wings have since confirmed that Copp will not return to the game and that his afternoon is finished.
Following a massive hit by forward Alex DeBrincat, an on-ice scrum broke out; Andrew Copp may have injured himself during the ruckus.
Before his departure, he had played 10:50 and registered a single shot.
