Red Wings legend goes above and beyond for fans
Red Wings legend and 3-time Stanley Cup Champion Chris Osgood was recently at the memorial cup as he is the owner of the Saginaw Spirits who are the hosts for the tournament.
Osgood took time prior to the first game to signs autographs and take pictures with fans prior to the first game of the tournament.
«It's showcasing our team, our organization and the community,» said Osgood. «Our fans are awesome, I mean they've been here each and every game. It's been loud, it's been exciting, so it's always been a great place for hockey it's just kind of been unknown so now it's kind of put us on the map as one of those places that people want to come.»
The Spirits went on to win the Memorial Cup last night after beating the OHL champion London Knights with 20 seconds left in the third period.
