Three unknown heroes from the previous season
While many players like Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond receive well-deserved praise, other players' contributions are just as important. These players may not always appear on the score sheet but Joe Veleno, Christian Fisher and James Reimer were important pieces of the team.
One player that merit to be highlighted is Joe Veleno. Despite some inconsistency in his performance this season, Veleno has shown potential especially in his defensive game and face-off abilities. As a fourth line center, his contributions may not always translate into consistent scoring, but he brings value to the team, especially on the penalty kill.
Another obscure hero is Christian Fischer, who is known for his defensive ability and good work ethic on the ice. While not expected to be a top scorer, Fischer's impact goes beyond statistics, making him a valuable asset in the bottom-6.
Lastly, despite some unorthodox play, James Reimer proved to be a reliable option in goal when the team needed him most, despite facing challenges with rebound control and letting in the occasional soft goal.
Overall, these players may not receive the same attention as the team's stars, but their contributions are invaluable to the team's success.
