Pittsburgh Penguins fans everywhere are hoping that captain and future Hall of Famer Sidney Crosby is going to be okay after leaving tonight's game.

The Pittsburgh Penguins just lost the most important part of their team during tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils at PPG Paints Arena.

Penguins icon, captain and future Hall of Famer Sidney Crosby departed the game in the 3rd period after suffering an apparent arm injury; replays showed that he was doubled over in pain heading toward the bench and down the tunnel toward the dressing room.

While going for a loose puck at the blue line, Crosby collided with Devils forward Erik Haula and defenseman Luke Hughes:

However, Penguins fans everywhere can exhale, as Crosby has now returned to the game.

While it appeared as though he could have suffered a significant upper-body injury, those fears are being alleviated for now.

Crosby was recently re-signed by Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas to a new multi-year contract extension, keeping his AAV (average annual value) at his customary $8.7 million as a nod to his iconic sweater number that he's worn throughout his entire professional career.

Sidney Crosby is set to captain Team Canada at the 4 Nations Faceoff

Crosby, who has worn the "C" on his sweater since his sophomore NHL year of 2006-07, was declared the captain for Team Canada in the 4 Nations Faceoff set to take place later in February.

Crosby also captained Team Canada in the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympic Games, both resulting in gold medal victories.
