Berube faces backlash after a controversial story resurfaces
The Leafs just announced that they have signed Craig Berube as their new head coach for next season.
Since the news broke, fans have researched the former player turned coach and found a story in which Berube was suspended from the NHL in 1997 for saying a racial slur to a Capitals player.
OMG Leafs new headcoach said this 😭 #hockey #leafs #leafsnation #toronto #nhl #sport #reels
Even if this story is from over 20 years ago, this is not a good look for Berube as he will likely have to face the consequences of his actions.
