Former Red Wings sign a huge contract
It sounds like Tyler Bertuzzi is moving from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Chicago Blackhawks with a significant 4-year contract worth $5.5 million AAV.
This move positions him in a top-six role with the Blackhawks, who want to strengthen their lineup for a playoff push.
Losing Bertuzzi means the Maple Leafs will need to find a replacement, either through a trade or by exploring options in free agency. With free agency starting soon, seeing how both teams adjust their rosters will be interesting.
