Gabriel Landeskog's potential return to the Colorado Avalanche for the 2024-2025 season is a significant development for the team and the NHL.

After undergoing cartilage transplant surgery on his right knee in May 2023, Gabriel Landeskog has been making steady progress in his recovery. Reports indicate that he can skate and put full weight on his surgically repaired knee, showing the best signs of recovery since his injury.
Gabriel Landeskog's presence on the ice, even at 50-70% of full speed during recent sessions, is encouraging. Support from teammates like Nathan MacKinnon, Kurtis MacDermid, and Erik Johnson will likely boost morale as he works through this critical rehabilitation stage.
While it's still uncertain whether Gabriel Landeskog will be ready for the full rigours of the NHL season, his progress so far suggests a return is possible. However, setbacks are always a risk in such recoveries. If Gabriel Landeskog can make it back, his leadership and skill would be a tremendous asset to the Colorado Avalanche, who have undoubtedly felt his absence over the past two and a half seasons.
