Jeremy Swayman & Bruins situation just got worse
Jeremy Swayman of the Boston Bruins wants a new contract and it could very well turn the Bruins into a bit of a mess.
There has been lots of debate over what Swayman will end up with. However, reporter Kevin Paul DuPont claims the Bruins may have to pay $9 million per year. Considering they only have $8.6 million in cap space, that means a trade could very well be on the way. It puts the team in a bad situation, especially since they've already had to ship out other members of the roster.
"Kevin Paul DuPont of the Boston Globe suggests that while the Boston Bruins have $8.6 million in cap space, they still may have to make a trade to free up a bit more room in order to sign goaltender Jeremy Swayman.
His next contract, depending on term, is expected to come in north of $9M AAV."
Do you believe that Jeremy Swayman will be getting over $9 million per year? Let us know in the poll below. Additionally, stay tuned to Red Wings Insider for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world.
