Detroit Red Wings head coach, Todd McLellan, confirmed forward Michael Rasmussen will miss his third game in a row due to injury.

Red Wings' Rasmussen encountered a brutal hit to the head by
Trevor Zegras this past Sunday when the Detroit Red Wings took on the Anaheim Ducks.
Take a look:
The hit was endured near the end of the second period and concluded in Ducks' forward, Trevor Zegras, being suspended for three games, without pay.
Reported by the NHL, Zegras will be forfeiting $89,843.76, based on his average annual salary, with all funds going towards the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
Bad timing is an understatement for the circumstances the Red Wings need to undergo due to Rasmussen's injury.
With playoffs coming in hot and the Red Wings having no guaranteed spot, it is necessary for every player to be attentive and prepped to ensure they can excel throughout the rest of the season.
Luckily, a Red Wings reporter from The Hockey News, Sam Stockton, released today that Rasmussen attended this morning's practice, but showed up wearing a visor.
«Michael Rasmussen in the mix again at today's practice. Looks to be wearing a slightly tinted visor; last year, Daniel Sprong mentioned that doing that had helped him deal with the bright lights of the rink when coming back from a head injury»
Due to Rasmussen's visor, we can assume he has been left with a concussion following the incident that occurred February 23.
Although there is no guarantee when this Wings forward will return, his attendance is hinting at a quick enough recovery.
