It looks like the Red Wings are getting serious about the impending Trade Deadline with multiple scouts in attendance tonight in Toronto between the Leafs & Sharks!

We're now t-minus 93 hours until the Trade Deadline, and for what would be the 1st time in seemingly ages, the Detroit Red Wings and general manager Steve Yzerman could be gearing up for a move.
Per Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun, there are a total of 3 Red Wings scouts in attendance for tonight's game in Toronto between the Maple Leafs and San Jose Sharks.
There are also scouts in attendance from the Dallas Stars, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, and Vancouver Canucks.

However, the presence of 3 total scouts representing the Red Wings is noteworthy and a trade appears underway for the two Original Six NHL franchises

Teams represented on the scout list for the #Leafs' last home game before the trade deadline: DAL, DET (3), LA, MIN, MTL, OTT, PIT, STL, TB, WAS, VAN
There are multiple pending free agent players on both teams, not the least of which include John Tavares and Mitch Marner of the Maple Leafs.
The Sharks, who the Red Wings traded Jake Walman to along with a draft pick this past summer in return for literally nothing, have already traded Mikael Granlund and Cody Ceci and could be looking to dump more assets at the Deadline.
Among the players San Jose could be thinking of trading with expiring deals include forwards Luke Kunin and Nico Sturm along with defenseman Jan Rutta.
The Red Wings lost forward Andrew Copp for the rest of the year after pectoral surgery, while Michael Rasmussen has missed the last handful of games after suffering a concussion thanks to a dirty head shot that initially wasn't penalized on the ice.
