The Minnesota Wild are acquiring forward Gustav Nyquist, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Pierre LeBrun from TSN and The Athletic says talks are happening between the two sides, and Nyquist has now been removed from the Nashville Predators lineup.
The trade deadline moves have officially kicked off.
With his contract up this summer, the Predators are keeping him healthy for their deal with the Minnesota Wild, eliminating any kind of scenarios which would void it.
#smashville Gustav Nyquist has been traded somewhere. His equipment has been sent from UBS Arena to the team hotel in Manhattan
The Swedish-born winger from Halmstad had a breakout season with Nashville, racking up 23 goals and 75 points in 81 games.
Beyond the stats on paper, he posted his best numbers in his days with the Detroit Red Wings years ago.
This season hasn't been the best for Nyquist or his teammates in Nashville.
Nyquist currently has nine goals and 21 points in 51 games, on pace for his quietest year since an injury-plagued 2022-23 season.
He can slot into a top or middle-six role and play either wing, leaving the return Nashville receives interesting as it could be a bigger draft pick.
His old teams like the Blue Jackets, Red Wings, and the Wild missed out on his name being on the trade market, as they are all dealing with injuries at the moment.
