The reaction from the American bench as Dylan Larkin raced down the ice on a 2-on-1 rush and eventually scored will fire up the fans.
Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin scored one of the biggest goals of his career, though it won't be going into his overall NHL stats.
On Saturday night, he scored the game winner for the Americans in their game against Canada as part of the 4 Nations Faceoff.
He broke in on a 2-on-1 rush and sniped a shot past the blocker of Canada goaltender Jordan Binnington. Larkin's subsequent exuberant celebration captured the essence of those cheering for an American win.
And now the excited reaction from his teammates on the bench has been released, from the moment they rose to their feet as Larkin rushed down the ice to their celebration after the goal was scored:
Larkin would later say that it was one of the biggest and most exciting moments of his professional career.
That was one of the best experiences of my life. Just an unbelievable hockey game. The Tkachuk brothers and Millsy, what a start, and credit to those guys for answering the bell. And the crowd, just a great night for our sport and a great night for this rivalry. So can't wait to get back to Boston and get on home soil.
He then said that the goal was particularly special because he immediately saw his father Kevin's reaction in the crowd.
I got to see my dad jump up. Honestly. Just probably one of the more special goals of my career....he's got whitest hair, so it was a pretty special moment.
