Detroit Red Wings just signed another D-man

The Detroit Red Wings have signed defenseman UFA Tory Dello to a one-year, two-way contract.

Dello, 27, spent the 2023-24 season with the AHL's Chicago Wolves, tallying 13 points (3 goals, 10 assists) and 28 penalty minutes in 65 games. He previously played for the Laval Rocket in the 2022-23 season, recording 15 points (4 goals, 11 assists), a plus-13 rating, and 24 penalty minutes in 48 games.

Dello began his professional career with the Grand Rapids Griffins, accumulating 48 points (12 goals, 36 assists), a plus-42 rating, and 112 penalty minutes in 188 AHL games. Before turning pro, Dello played four seasons at the University of Notre Dame, helping the team to a Big Ten Conference championship and two Big Ten Tournament titles. He also captained the Tri-City Storm to a Clark Cup championship in the USHL and won a bronze medal with Team USA at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.
