Players like Nate Danielson, Sebastian Cossa, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Axel Sandin-Pellikka, and William Wallinder are all expected to play pivotal roles in the future success of the Red Wings.

And another player included on that list is Amadeus Lombardi, the 113th overall selection in the 2022 Draft.

Yesterday, he tied the score late for Grand Rapids at Van Andel Arena against the Milwaukee Admirals with less than 60 seconds remaining:

The Griffins eventually picked up the win in overtime, and Lombardi was fired up! Check out his leap into the arms of future Red Wings goalie Sebastian Cossa:

Despite his size of only 5'9 and 170 lbs, it didn't stop Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman from selecting him and praising his on-ice creativity:

He's 5-9. 5-10, 170 pounds, that doesn't matter. He's real competitive.

Is he in there running guys over, knocking guys out? No. But he drives to the net, he somehow gets to the corners first, he makes plays, he's very creative.

He's a very entertaining player.
