At 31-years-old, Alex Lyon has proven to be a diamond in the rough for the Detroit Red Wings. He has made a big impact playing behind a struggling Husso which has given him trade value even more merit.

Amidst his struggles, Ville Husso is still considered the starter, or the 1A starter as Lyon is the 1B. The fact of the ,atter is that he can be a bonified starter and potential all-star if a team needs an upgrade at the goalie position.
The Red Wings hope to reach the playoffs once again, but to do so, they need to trade a valuable asset like Lyon in order to get them to the next level.
