Today is the day and the clock is ticking, After being drafted and not offered contracts by the Detroit Red Wings, Theodor Niederbach, Tnias Mathurin and Jan Bednar are looking to find a home. The team has until the end of the day to sign them or else they lose their rights.

WHAT A SAVE JAN BEDNAR 😱

Jan Bednar, A goalie out of the Czech Rep. was taken 107th overall in 2020. He has yet to see NHL action but has been signed to an AHL contract, unfortunately he has not seen time with he Griffins as he has been playing in the ECHL.
With the Red Wings already locking up another goalie by the name of Carter Gylander, his chance of getting anytime in the AHL are slim, if he were to be signed...
Niederbach is another story, he was a highly touted draftee but after struggling with 3 different in clubs in Sweden (SHL). In 47 games last year, he only had 6 goals and 7assists for 13 points. the chances of him getting signed are not looking promising.
We will just have to wait and see what is in store for these draft picks.
