Hilarious story reported regarding Lidstrom, Chelios and Hasek
A story recently came out that during the 2007 NHL playoffs, tennis legend John McEnroe invited legends Lidstrom, Chelios and Hasek to his home prior to a playoff game against the Rangers.
Many years later, McEnroe, an avid Rangers fan admitted his plan was to get the Wings players very drunk so that they would be hungover for the game but it turns out it did not work as the Wings went on to win the series.
»Yes, haha, but we still won. John is not the same person in real life as he was on the tennis court. He's very polite and laid back,» Lidstrom said.
It seems like even the famous fans will go to any lengths to give their favorite team the edge.
