The Detroit Red Wings are once again shuffling up their line combinations in an effort to avoid a 2nd straight loss to the divisional foe Canadiens.

Hoping to avoid a second straight loss to the divisional foe Montreal Canadiens, the Detroit Red Wings once again threw their line combinations into a blender.

Jonatan Berggren, who was designated a healthy scratch by coach Derek Lalonde, returns to the lineup while Christian Fischer will be sitting.

Additionally, Albert Johansson comes out of the lineup while William Lagesson, recently brought up from the Grand Rapids Griffins, gets his first action this year for the Red Wings.

The good new for the Red Wings is that Joe Veleno, playing in his hometown of Montreal, scored to give Detroit the game's first goal.

Nothing has gone right since then, however. The Habs responded with three unanswered goals, including yet another power play tally from Patrik Laine (his 7th PPG since returning to action) to take a 3-1 lead after the opening 20 minutes.
