Red Wings, Blue Jackets, Make Major Lineup Announcements Prior to Stadium Series Matchup

The Detroit Red Wings have announced who will be their starting goaltender during tomorrow night's tilt at Ohio Stadium against the Blue Jackets.
The Detroit Red Wings may have lost 5-2 to the Columbus Blue Jackets last night at Little Caesars Arena, but they have the chance to hit right back when they face them on Saturday night - albeit on a much larger stage.
The Red Wings and Blue Jackets are facing one another at Ohio Stadium, home of the NCAA's Ohio State Buckeyes. It will be the first professional hockey game played at the venue, which has stood since 1922.
Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan has named Cam Talbot the starter in the Detroit crease tomorrow, giving him a chance to redeem himself after allowing 4 goals in the 2nd period in last night's game.
For Talbot, it will be his 7th outdoor game he's been a part of during his NHL career.

Despite a rough 2nd period, Talbot made several saves from in close - including several sprawling stops at the goal mouth on Thursday against the Jackets.
He had no chance to stop a pair of Jackets goals that were both deflected shots, while their other pair of goals in the period came as the result of poor defense by the Red Wings.
While McLellan had no problem calling out his underperforming players, he said Talbot was not one of them.
Anything around the net. I didn't think we were playing like we have in the past and like we're capable of. The one guy that did a real good job in and around that area was Talbs. I thought he made some incredible saves. The game could have been much worse than it was.
The Blue Jackets will have goaltender Elvis Merzlikins between the pipes tonight, sporting a 21-14-4 record on the season.
