Things will mostly look the same for the Detroit Red Wings in tonight's game against the Calgary Flames except for one key difference.

The Detroit Red Wings will be putting their 4-game winning streak to the test tonight when they face the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome (10:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, Sportsnet, 97.1 The Ticket).

Detroit is coming off a 3-2 shootout win over the Oilers that featured an impressive 45-save performance from goaltender Alex Lyon, one of his best performances wearing the Winged Wheel crest on his sweater.

However, head coach Todd McLellan is opting to make a key change in the crease. He'll be giving the starting responsibilities for tonight's game to goaltender Cam Talbot, a former Flame in his own right.

It will be the second and final matchup against the Flames this year; Lucas Raymond scored in overtime against the Flames on November 27 for a 2-1 Detroit win.

Talbot recently became the first goaltender in over a year to shut out the Tampa Bay Lightning, who had gone over 110 regular season games in which they scored at least one goal.

He slammed the door shut on several key chances by the Lightning in what was a 2-0 win for the Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena last week.

Under Todd McLellan, the Red Wings have gone 12-4-1 since the coaching change was made from the terminated Derek Lalonde to McLellan on December 26.

The Red Wings have looked faster, hungrier, playing with more purpose, and playing more defensively sound hockey; the players have also spoke in the major change in philosophy that they've enjoyed under McLellan.
