Detroit Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond continues to impress and journey toward stardom, and he leads all NHL players under 23 years of age in a key stat.

The Detroit Red Wings continue to get crucial production out of forward Lucas Raymond, who has rebounded from a slower start to the year in the goal-scoring department and now has 16 in 39 games played.

For those of you keeping track at home, that's a pace of 34 goals over a full 82-game schedule.

Thanks to his scoring, he's now reached 1st overall in the NHL in total scoring by players 23 years of age and younger.

In fact, Raymond leads all players who were taken in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft in the following categories:

-Goals
-Points
-EVP
-PPP
-Primary assists
-Primary points
-Points/60
-Goals/60
-PP Points/60
-Net penalties/60

Raymond scored a power play goal in the Red Wings' most recent win over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday night at Canada Life Centre.

Meanwhile, his teammates held the Jets power play, the 1st ranked unit in the NHL, off the scoresheet.

It's huge, right? We knew coming into the game that they have a really good power play -- the best in the league. Penalty kill was a huge part and able to get two on the power play. Good game.

Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman signed Raymond to an 8-year, 64.6 million dollar contract before the year began, securing his future in Hockeytown for the long haul.
