Red Wings screwed by terrible missed call by referees, allowing Kraken to score moments later

How on Earth does that not get called? The Red Wings got the short end of the stick in a major way in tonight's 2nd period vs. the Kraken.

The Detroit Red Wings and their fans had every right to feel slighted during the 2nd period of tonight's game at Climate Pledge Arena against the Seattle Kraken.

Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen was blatantly tripped by Seattle's Cale Fleury, and not a single arm went up in the air from either of the on-ice referees.

What's worse, the Kraken moved down the ice immediately afterward and tied the game at 2-2 after Shane Wright beat goaltender Cam Talbot cleanly with a wrist shot from just inside the top of the left faceoff circle.

Replays later showed incensed Red Wings coach Todd McLellan barking at the officials for the obvious missed penalty, but to no avail.

The good news for the Red Wings is that they did go on the power play shortly afterward and were given the lead right back by Jonatan Berggren:
