The funeral service for Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau took place today at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Media, PA.

A large turnout of NHL players and friends paid their respects to the beloved NHL winger Johnny and his brother Matthew. Among those in attendance were the Chicago Blackhawks' Seth Jones and Montreal Canadiens' Cole Caulfield, who both honored Johnny's legacy.

While Jones and Gaudreau were never NHL teammates, they played together at the 2024 IIHF World Championships. Gaudreau's influence on the game left a lasting mark, especially for smaller players like Caulfield. Caulfield even changed his jersey number to #13 in honor of Johnny.

Other notable attendees included Jack Eichel, Kevin Hayes, and Gaudreau's close friend, Sean Monahan. Mourners had the opportunity to pay their final respects before Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau were laid to rest on September 9, 2024.
