Blues announce breaking news regarding new GM
The St. Louis Blues just made a major announcement that they have hired former player Alexander Steen as their new GM.
The Blues announced that Doug Armstrong will be staying with the Blues as Director of Hockey Operations through 2028-29.
"Doug Armstrong has signed an extension to remain as President of Hockey Operations through the 2028-29 season.
Alexander Steen will take over as General Manager in 2026. #stlblues."
Steen will become the GM of the Blues starting in 2026 as he will learn the ropes next year before fulling taking over.
Steen spent 10 seasons in St. Louis in which he won a cup with them in 2019.
