Jeremy Swayman's contract situation with the Boston Bruins is becoming increasingly concerning as the start of the 2024-25 NHL season nears.

Despite Linus Ullmark's trade to the Ottawa Senators, the Bruins have yet to secure Swayman, leaving their goaltending future in limbo. According to Ryan Whitney, the Boston Bruins offered Jeremy Swayman a four-year deal worth $6.2 million annually, which many consider to be undervaluing the 25-year-old netminder.

Jeremy Swayman, who posted a .916 save percentage and a 2.53 GAA in 44 games last season, has been a consistent presence in the Boston Bruins' net. Comparisons have been made to Juuse Saros of the Nashville Predators, who earns $1.5 million more annually, and Jordan Binnington of the St. Louis Blues, whose contract is slightly lower despite Swayman being regarded as the better goaltender.

What's particularly troubling is that Ryan Whitney also reported that the Bruins haven't responded to Swayman's calls in three weeks. This, combined with the tension from last year's arbitration case, has fueled speculation about a growing rift between the player and the organization. Without a deal soon, the Bruins could face a significant issue between the pipes as the season approaches.

Swayman is a critical piece for the Boston Bruins, especially after the Ullmark trade, and this contract dispute is certainly a situation to watch closely.
