Former 2nd-round pick wants to return to the NHL
Libor Hajek wants to return to the NHL. Is it possible for him to do so after leaving for the Czech Republic League in 2023-2024?
He's only 26 and believes he still has a shot in the NHL. According to NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman, he suffered a separated shoulder during his first season in the league, right after scoring his debut goal.
"I have heard that he is looking to come back to the NHL."
Unfortunately, his time with the New York Rangers was limited to only 110 games and he spent most of it in the AHL. In the Czech Republic League, he scored 9 points in 20 games with a plus/minus of +15. Given his potential and circumstances, a return to the NHL is a possibility for him.
"It was one of those things that just went sideways on him, and it didn't work out. Now, at 26, he wants to have another chance," added Friedman.
