A startling story out of Arizona has surfaced detailing the assault of former NHL player and current analyst/podcaster Paul Bissonnette at a Scottsdale restaurant.

Former Arizona Coyotes forward and current analyst/podcaster Paul Bissonnette was reportedly assaulted by a group of multiple men while at Houston's Restaraunt in Scottsdale, Arizona on Sunday night.

According to reports, Bissonnette was attempting to play peacemaker as a group of six male patrons got into a dispute with the restaurant manager.

Scottsdale Police Sgt. Allison Sempsis announced the details of the incident:

There was an altercation inside the restaurant with six adult men and the management.

Reportedly, Paul Bissonnette tried to help management calm the men and get them to leave.

The situation escalated to the men assaulting Paul Bissonnette both inside and outside of the restaurant.

Per Fox10 Phoenix, Bissonnette was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated.

The perpetrators have all since been taken into police custody and have been charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

After news of the incident began to trickle out, Bissonnette was greeted with multiple well wishes on X.

Bissonnette played for the Coyotes from 2009 to 2014, and also briefly played for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Currently, he's an analyst for the NHL on TNT as well as a co-host of the "Spittin' Chiclets" podcast.
