Former Senators player passes away
Dmitri Filimonov has passed away at the age of 52 and according to reports, his death was sudden and unexpected, making it all the more tragic.
Filimonov was a draft pick of the Winnipeg Jets who ended up playing 30 games with the Ottawa Senators. Filimonov also got to play in Russia for many years and even represented his country at the Canada Cup in 1991.

games with the 1993-94 @Senators scoring a goal and four assists. He had a lengthy career in Russia. Dmitri Filimonov passed away today at the age of 52. #RIP"
