New team all in on acquiring Marner
Since the Leafs season ended there has been a ton of speculation regarding Mitch Marner and it seems there is a new team that is all in on trying to acquire him.
According to analyst Elliotte Friedman, the Golden Knight are extremely interested in trading for Marner.
"One of the things with Marner is that a lot of people suspect that Vegas will be around it," Friedman said on the Leafs Morning Take podcast. "Because Vegas is just smart, they are around any good player. So I got people hypothesizing Shea Theodore and Logan Thompson deals to me, for example." Despite Marner taking a lot of heat for his performance in the playoffs, the Leafs forward still had an incredible season putting up 85 points in 69 games.
If the Golden Knights are able to acquire him, this would be a huge addition for Vegas.
