NHL in hot water for rigging NHL finals
The NHL is in hot water the last few days as it has been pointed out online that the Panthers have played 14 games in the playoffs with referee Dan O'Rourke officiating.
In those 14 games, the Panthers are 13-0-1 while the Oilers are 0-4 when O'Rourke is officiating their games.
REF RECORDS: The Florida Panthers have gone 13-0-1 in their last 14 games under referee Dan O'Rourke, including playoffs. The Oilers are 0-4 this postseason when O'Rourke is working; the Panthers are 4-0
While this does seem a little weird, the Panthers also have an extremely good team this season which is why their are doing so well.
Fans find the situation sketchy since it is clear that commissioner Gary Bettman is always rooting for American teams to win as he wants to grow hockey in the US since it is already massive in Canada.
