Nichushkin signs new deal
For the second year in a row, Avs forward Valeri Nichushkin failed a illegal substance test during the playoffs which led to him being sent back to the NHL assistance program and suspended for 6 months.
News broke this morning that Nichushkin has signed a contract to play in the MHL in Russia over the summer which could lead to complication with his current contract regardless of his 6 month suspension.
Valeri Nichushkin will take part in the second season of the Media Hockey League.
This was reported by TASS with reference to the president of the organization Nikolai Osipov. The league's second season will begin on July 6 and end on August 31.
Hopefully this will keep him in shape during the summer and signing this contract does not cause anymore problems for the Avs forward.
